changing ownage: part 1

Stage one of the ownage facelift is completed.

  • Fixed the width problems by “fixing” the content and sidebars and centering them – those strange people using an 800×600 screen resolution are beyond my help.

In addition to fixing width and layout problems there has been some extensive reworking of the css and php files. Most important is the way the sidebars (and widgets) are handled, the indented layout seperates navigation from content and makes for a better usability. The colour scheme has been updated (is still subject to change) with the addition of a light background color instead of white. The background color takes the glare out of the design and makes it generally easier on the eyes. The “content” background in grey definitely makes reading more comfortable.

The next stage will be the reworking and addition of some of the graphics – header and content title/date…
